Taos Mesa Series (2022) - 'Ritual, meditation, and trance-state-experience are important elements of my art practice. I work with different materials, from watercolor to oil paint and pastel, depending on what best suits my subject. The Taos mesa series was painted in watercolor, en plein air (actually from my car), over the span of about one winter month. The series is 12 paintings of the same view and represents a meditation on place and presence, as well as a gesture of honoring and connecting with the land in my new home. Even though it is essentially the same landscape in each painting, the paintings themselves are marked by differences caused by changes in the time of day and weather, as well as my own perceptual state.'

'Healing Image Series (2016 - present) - The healing images are an open series of abstract images that I began making in 2016. The images are intended to function and have a healing effect on the viewer. Each image is made with a specific healing intention. The images themselves are received through the minds eye during meditative contemplation on a specific ailment (not necessarily my own). The compositions typically consist of bright saturated colors and arrangements of simple geometric shapes.'
